Dua Lipa fans have finally worked out where she was during Elton John’s farewell gig at Glastonbury over the weekend.
The iconic musician, 76, took to the Pyramid Stage to close the 2023 festival and perform live in the UK for the final time on Sunday (25 June).

He performed an array of hits, including ‘The B***h is Back’, ‘Your Song’ and ‘I Guess Why They Call It The Blues’ to name a few.
The Grammy winner also performed one of his more recent hits - his collaboration with Dua Lipa, ‘Cold Heart’.
But as speculation arose regarding who might join Elton on stage and with Dua's fans keeping their eyes peeled for her rumoured appearance, they were left a little disappointed.
Prior to the set, Elton had teased a number of special guests and naturally music fanatics assumed the ‘Levitating’ hit-maker would be one of them, especially because they collaborated as recently as 2021.

But as we now know, Dua was absent from the festival and instead Elton enlisted the crowd, estimated to be over 120,000 people, to help him sing the song’s hook.
“The person I did this song with isn’t here, so I’m going to ask you to sing her part please and sing it loudly,” he declared.
Fans snooping on the Future Nostalgia performer’s social media soon discovered what she was doing over the weekend.
Dua seemingly had quite a chilled weekend as she could be seen cooking a delicious-looking meal for her pals.

The chart-topping pop star was joined by her younger sister, Rina, and friend, Francis Phillips, and a few others at the outdoor gathering.
Although she wasn’t able to make the gig, Dua shared her love and support to Elton by reposting a video of him singing ‘Cold Heart’ on her Instagram Stories with a bunch of heart emojis.

Dua wasn’t the only star rumoured to make an appearance which didn’t happen in the end.
Fans also speculated that Britney Spears, who joined Elton on the song ‘Hold Me Closer’ last year, was in the UK and preparing for a on stage rendition of the song.
Many also hoped that Eminem, with whom Elton performed with at the 2001 Grammy Awards, would make an appearance.

“Thank you, Glastonbury! The energy last night was like nothing else, and I couldn’t be more grateful to the crowd and the people watching at home for all your love and support. You will be in my heart and soul forever," he wrote.
“UK, what a farewell. I love you.”
