When Hugh Jackman told audiences that his outing as Wolverine in Logan was the last time donning the famous adamantium claws, it felt like a part of your childhood had died.
He had played the character since 2000's action packed X-Men alongside acting royalty in Sirs Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen.
But enter Deadpool. And enter Ryan Reynolds.

Six years after the release of Logan filming has this week wrapped on Deadpool 3 which will see Jackman return one last time as the famous mutant.
It took years for Reynolds to convince Jackman to return, who had publicly said Logan would not be teaming up with Wade Wilson.
Yet here we are.
The process of turning in to Wolverine one last time has been well documented by Jackman himself, with the Australian actor saying he has 'no days off' when it comes to the gym.

Speaking after filming wrapped on Deadpool 3, Jackman revealed the sacrifice it took to get film-ready once again.
He took part in 4am training every day to get his body looking ripped enough to reprise the role.
On the food front, he enjoyed steamed fish and vegetables four times a day
He did both of these things for six months straight. Intense, to say the least.

"A collective thank you to the entire cast and crew. You are all aces! If you’re reading this and think I mean you, I do. To two of my best mates Ryan Reynolds and [director] Shawn Levy I literally couldn’t have done this without you. LITERALLY! July 26th can’t come soon enough. Time to shave."

"A giant and forever thanks to the cast and crew of our film who battled wind, rain, strikes and Hugh Jackman... all under the stalwart leadership of Shawn Levy.
"I got to make a movie with my closest pals and that doesn't happen very often.
