Ryan Reynolds has shared a picture of himself and Hugh Jackman on the set of the forthcoming third Deadpool film, with the pair dressed up as Deadpool and Wolverine.
Reynolds shared the photo with the caption ‘don’t blink’ on his Instagram stories.
We’ll have to see if there’s any significance to that at a later date, I guess.

Either way, it’s cool to see the two stars together on set at long last.
It’s even cooler to know that Jackman will be donning the famous yellow suit of Wolverine, which had been the subject of some speculation before.
Jackman has been wearing claws and facial hair of Logan/Wolverine for longer than two decades now, but has never so far got to wear the classic yellow get-up from the comic books.

However, clearly we can now see that he’ll get to try it on for size, as well as teaming up with Reynolds’ Wade Wilson.
The costume is one of the most iconic in Marvel history, and was actually teased during the alternate ending of The Wolverine back in 2013.
However, despite several films with Jackman as Wolverine being released since then, he’s still never worn the actual suit until now.

It’s been a strange one, as other characters in the Marvel universe – more specifically within the X-Men – have been given their iconic costumes, so why not Wolverine?
With Deadpool tending to take a bit more of a playful approach to the Marvel superhero genre, perhaps they’ve just decided that now is the perfect time to give the fans a bit of a pay-off?
It might also be – whisper it quietly – the last time we ever seen Jackman as Wolverine.
Either way, this appearance is likely to be a bit of a departure from his last outing, as 2017’s Logan was pretty bleak.

He also appeared briefly in X-Men: Apocalypse, which was set in the 1980s, and as a more restrained version in Days of Future Past.
This time, we’ll be expecting a more vital and humorous – maybe – character for this latest R-rated outing.
As well as Jackman, Deadpool 3 will reportedly feature Jennifer Garner as Elektra, and there are rumours of other characters appearing too.

Just now, we’ve heard rumours of Halle Berry as Storm and Ben Affleck as Daredevil, but we’ll just have to wait and see.
Speaking to Comic Book last year about what makes Deadpool different, Reynolds said: "Deadpool, for me, is kind of like an anxiety-inducing tightrope walk,
"I always think when I've got Deadpool just right, I'm speaking from experience from Deadpool 1 & 2, that I need to make it 30 to 40% percent better than it already it is.
“Even if I'm at the moment where I'm like, 'This is perfect, this moment!'
“Then, I stop and I go, 'Okay, this has to be 30 percent better than it already is.'
“It's a stressful thing to get right, or at least right as far as I'm concerned."
