
Netflix users have been urged to watch an award winning drama film which has been hailed as one of the best films of the '21st century'.
The streaming giant regularly updates it's library, allowing film and TV buffs to watch the latest shows as well as numerous gems from years gone by.
One of the latest additions includes a heartbreaking reflection on grief and guilt within families after a struggling man finds himself becoming the reluctant guardian of his teenage nephew after his father dies suddenly.

This film is, of course, the 2016 tearjerker Manchester by the Sea, starring Casey Affleck, Michelle Williams, Kyle Chandler and Lucas Hedges

Manchester by the Sea follows depressed and asocial janitor Lee Chandler (Affleck) who lives a modest life on his own. However, his life is completely turned upside down after he receives a phone call to inform him that his brother Joe (Chandler) has suffered a cardiac arrest.
Lee is unable to make it to the hospital before his brother passes away and learns that he has been named as the guardian of his brother's teenage son Patrick (Hedges).

He struggles to come to term with the idea of being his son's guardian, as it would mean relocating back to Manchester, Massachusetts, with viewers later learning the harrowing reason why he struggles so much to be in the seaside town.
So it's pretty safe to say the film you'll need to pick up several boxes of tissues before watching this one.

Manchester by the Sea received huge critical acclaim upon release, with Affleck winning an Oscar for his performance while Gangs of New York's Kenneth Lonergan received an award for 'Best Original Screenplay'.
The film also has an impressive score of 96 per cent on review aggregator site Rotten Tomatoes, with critics hailing both Lonergan's writing as well as the performances of the cast.

Viewers have also shared their thoughts on the review platform, with one person calling it a 'masterpiece'.
They continued: "Such a fantastic movie. Horribly depressing. Great cast. Beautiful cinematography, it makes me want to grab a beer, cigarette and sit by the dock."
"I can't say I enjoyed watching this movie. Not because I didn't like it because I did. Alot. But because it made me think. It made me tear up a little bit," a second read. "It delved into deep topics and really was, in my opinion, a beautiful and great movie."
"This movie just gets you man. You can feel the grief and emptyness," added a third user.
