Nicole Kidman has spoken about her upcoming erotic thriller, which left her feeling 'ragged' and 'exposed' after filming.

The new movie centres around high-powered CEO Romy (Kidman) who puts her career and family on the line when she begins an affair with her much-younger intern, Samuel (Harris Dickinson).

Samuel discovers that Romy likes being told what to do, although the businesswoman is usually the one in charge.

Antonio Banderas plays her husband Jacob, with the likes of Sophie Wilde and Esther McGregor also starring.

“It is not a thing that normally is going to be seen by the world.”

Though she thanked female director, Halina Reijn, for helping her work 'with abandonment'.

“It left me ragged,” she added.

“At some point I was like: ‘I don’t want to be touched.

“I don’t want to do this any more.’

“But at the same time, I was compelled to do it.”
