Former child actor Casey Margolis has revealed the surprising amount be made for his role in Superbad.
It's 17 years since coming-of-age sex comedy Superbad graced our screens, starring Jonah Hill, Michael Cera and Christopher Mintz-Plasse as a group of awkward high-school seniors who are on a quest to secure alcohol and get laid at their last party before going away to college.
Anyone who's familiar with the Superbad will remember who the film is packed full of awkward moments as well as iconic memes (cough, McLovin, cough).

However, one of the most bizarre moments from the film is the moment we discover Seth's (Hill) long obsession with producing phallic artwork and hiding them inside a Ghostbusters lunchbox during his younger years.
The memorable moment was brought to life by Margolis - who can be seen anxiously scribbling in a brief flashback - and it seems that he's still rather proud of the role.
Despite also appearing in the likes of The Hangover and Ugly Betty, Margolis clearly considers Superbad as his biggest claim to fame, evidenced by his social media bios reading 'used to draw things in movies' and 'I was the kid in Superbad'.

The role has also provided Margolis with a tidy way to top up his income, with the actor revealing how much he gets in residuals during a TikTok video last year.
While giving his followers the lowdown on what it's like to be that genital-obsessed kid from Superbad, Casey shared how much he is still raking in from his minor, but extremely memorable, role in residuals.
This refers to the long-term payments people who worked on films and TV shows receive on the back of reruns and airings after the movies initial release - such as every time it's broadcast on telly or when someone buys the DVD.

Casey was paid $700-a-day (£580) for his gig as Jonah's younger self, but he is still banking a hefty amount of cash 17 years after the film was released thanks to its everlasting success.
The content creator said: "Total here is $255.39 (£200) and the actual gross was $400.62 (£315). God bless tax!"
A few months later, he revealed he had got a residual check with a gross total of $573.35 (£480) for Free TV, Internet Rental/ SVOD, Video/ DVD and Pay TV. The take home from that was $365.51 (£300).
So, it's safe to say Superbad is one of the roles that is still rewarding him handsomely after all these years, with enough to build up quite a large rainy day fund.

However, in a later video, Casey told his followers that actors can't just get by on residual payments alone.
Explaining that acting doesn't always make you crazy money, he said: "Listen not all of these cheques are f**king bangers, okay. They're not throwing me $10,000 here and there. In November 2014, I received the lowest cheque I've ever received from any work, from anyone.
"For $0.12, gross. Net, $0.08. So they took 4 cents away in taxes. Being an actor - it's not all glitz and glam. Sometimes you get hit with the 12 cents cheques, but it's 12 more cents than I had."

Casey added that he typically receives a residual cheque around every three months, which can 'vary from 3 cents to 100 bucks.'
