If you’re a fan of swimming in lavish pools or dream about having your own outdoor tub, don’t watch this new film when it drops.
There are so many movies dedicated to scary things, some realistic and others ridiculous (I’m looking at you, Final Destination) - but this one takes the cake.
Heralded as the scariest film to come out of the New Year, a story about a family being terrorised by an evil entity whilst out swimming in the dark leaves little to the imagination as the trailer is filled with terrifying jump scares.

However, if you like to hide behind your pillow as horrors unfold right before your eyes, then 2024’s new release Night Swim is the perfect flick.
The film has an exciting cast with Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell’s child, Wyatt Russell, and The Banshees of Inisherin star Kerry Condon, taking leading roles as the parents of a tight-knit family settling into a new home.
Based on a 2014 short film by the same name, Night Swim feeds on the vulnerability we feel when we’re submerged in water, even in an innocent looking swimming pool.

Dubbed a ‘strong horror’ by the cinema company, their synopsis is ominous: “Secretly hoping, against the odds, to return to pro ball, Ray persuades Eve that the new home’s shimmering backyard swimming pool will be fun for the kids and provide physical therapy for him.
“But a dark secret in the home’s past will unleash a malevolent force that will drag the family under, into the depths of inescapable terror.”
