Groundhog Day continues for those waiting for another sliver of an update on the whereabouts of GTA 6, with some fans absolutely convinced a second trailer for the latest instalment in the Grand Theft Auto universe is on the way. And soon.
Rumours have gathered pace quickly when it comes to a potential second GTA 6 trailer being released very soon, with the video gaming community on both Reddit and X thinking this time, there really could be something new on the way.
A year ago to the day (4 December, 2023), Rockstar released the first trailer for GTA 6 with hundreds of millions of people tuning in to watch it on YouTube alone.
The most frustrating thing for GTA fans since then is that nothing else has been said by the company other than to confirm the game's release date. Some aren't convinced, though, with one former GTA developer explaining why a delay would not be a shock.

With it now a year since trailer one, and with Rockstar this week updating its GTA 6 trailer list on YouTube, the hype has built quickly on the topic of a second trailer.
Now, in a fresh attempt to hope for the best, some fans are convinced Rockstar is clearing the way for such an announcement.
It comes after Rockstar posted on to X with three separate announcements on 3 December. The theory? Clear the decks ahead of trailer time, baby.

"The theory that Rockstar are posting everything today to clear out way for GTA 6 Trailer 2 may be true," said one Reddit user.
A second wrote: "Bro, this is definitely not a coincidence. They're clearing a lot of stuff makes me believe even more we're getting something in Thursday."
One of the announcements was the early announcement of a new addition to GTA Online that is being released on 10 December; the spin-off online version of GTA 5 that is still loved and played by millions to this date. The other announcements were concerning Rockstar's other huge franchise, Red Dead Redemption.

Over on X, the 'GTA 6 Countdown' account wrote: "Rockstar dropped GTA Online’s update trailer a week early and Red Dead Online’s event post on the same day.
"It’s like they’re clearing the way to reveal GTA 6 Trailer 2 before 10 December, which would also boost the new update."
Others weren't convinced, with one saying: "I am 100 percent sure that the employee posting these is always giggling as they're pressing the 'post' button."

At this stage, there is a growing consensus that something is happening.
But Rockstar knows it can do as it likes, given GTA 6 is likely to become the best selling video game of all time. Trailer two or no trailer two, we're buying either way.
LADbible Group has contacted Rockstar for comment.
