Hugh Grant has spoken up to confirm some key theories about his cameo in Netflix’s new hit mystery movie Glass Onion. Check out the trailer here if you want to whet your appetite.
Of course, you’ll no doubt know about Glass Onion, given that it’s another whodunnit caper from the same folks who brought you Knives Out, and it’s already been a large success.

It features a stellar cast including Daniel Craig as the gentleman detective Benoit Blanc, as well as Edward Norton, Kate Hudson, Janelle Monae, and former WWE wrestler Dave Bautista.
However, the film is also augmented by a number of star turns in tiny roles that you might not have noticed.
For example, Joseph Gordon-Levitt is the voice of an ‘hourly dong’ that takes place all over the fictional island.
More on that later, perhaps.

Anyway, one cameo that people did notice was Hugh Grant, who turned up at one point in Blanc’s apartment.
His character is called Philip, and he’s the partner of the softly spoken southern sleuth.
Obviously, it’s pretty clear in the movie that he and Benoit are together, but Grant has now confirmed in an interview with Collider that the pair are actually married.

When asked about the scene, the 62-year-old British actor said: “It is true. I’m married to James Bond.”
You’ll no doubt remember that Daniel Craig played James Bond on a number of occasions over the last few years.
At least, if you didn’t already know that you probably haven’t seen many films or read anything about the industry.
Anyway, discussing how he came to take part in Rian Johnson’s new film, Grant said: “It’s the tiniest little moment.

“I don’t really know why they wanted to do it but anyway, I thought Knives Out 1 was brilliant and so yeah, I thought why not? I turn up for a few hours…”
Whilst he may not have featured heavily in this flick, Grant is taking on a much larger role in a new film called Dungeons and Dragons: Honour Among Thieves.
It’s a fantasy adventure, so perhaps not something we associate directly with Grant – who made his name in a number of rom-coms – but it follows a group of thieves who have ironically been the victim of a theft themselves.

That’ll be out in cinemas on March 31 2023, so you can find out more about it closer to the time.
As for Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, that’s on Netflix as we speak, so head on over and check it out.
See if you can spot all the other cameos from famous faces whilst you’re at it.
Or just try to guess the culprit, that’s really what the film is about.
