You can't have the big return of the San derson sisters if they're a sister or two down, and since everyone got on board with another movie fans have been plenty excited for the follow up to the cult classic.
The sequel looks like it'll focus on Whitney Peak's Becca as she accidentally brings the trio of witches back to life, leading them to wreak havoc across Salem in their search for souls.
While Bette Middler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy are all returning as the Sanderson sisters, Doug Jones is also making his return as 'good zombie' Billy Butcherson.

It might surprise some fans to know that the original Hocus Pocus was considered a big flop when it first released, and dropping what is clearly a Halloween movie in the middle of July might have something to do with it.
Getting torn to shreds in cinemas by Jurassic Park and in reviews by critics, the film might have been consigned to the dustbin of history.
Instead, it found a new life on VHS tapes and regular showings on the Disney Channel around Halloween time and steadily built up a reputation as a cult classic movie.

Incredibly, Leonardo DiCaprio was originally supposed to be playing Max Dennison before that role went to Omri Katz, but DiCaprio didn't get the job as he was busy trying to go for What's Eating Gilbert Grape.
Hocus Pocus 2 will be releasing on Disney Plus on 30 September, the original movie is also available on the streaming service for fans who want to catch up on the cult classic.
