Netflix has released the season two trailer for Wednesday, announcing when the series is set to return to the streamer.
The first season, starring Jenna Ortega as Wednesday Addams, became Netflix's most watched English-speaking show ever, clocking in 252,100,000 views to total up to over a billion hours watched of the show.
Now, in season two of the Tim Burton produced and directed Netflix series, Ortega is joined by Lady Gaga and Steve Buscemi, with returning cast members such as Catherine Zeta-Jones.

Within the announcement was the news that the show would be returning in two parts, with Part 1 dropping on 6 August, 2025, and Part 2 releasing 3 September, 2025.
Speaking about the new season with E! News, Jenna Ortega said: "I've received some scripts for the second season and we're definitely leaning into more horror.

"It's really, really exciting because all throughout the show, Wednesday does need a bit of an arc. She never really changes and that's the wonderful thing about her."
The trailer shows Wednesday returning to Nevermore, the school from season one, saying it is as if she is 'returning to the scene of a crime'.
Also returning for a second season of the show is Emma Myers as Enid Sinclair and Luis Guzman who, alongside Zeta Jones, have been upped to series regulars for season two.

Not returning for season two is Percy Hynes White, who played psychic student Xavier Thorpe.

While multiple actors, including Naomi J Ogawa (who played Yoko Tanaka), will not be returning, Hynes White's Thorpe is the most high profile character.
Though the exact reason for the actor not returning has not been confirmed, Hynes White has been embroiled in controversy, having been accused of sexual assault online.
The actor responded in an Instagram post, saying: "Earlier this year, somebody I’ve never met started a campaign of misinformation about me online. Underage photos of me were used, and examples of me acting in character were presented as hateful.

“The rumors are false. I can’t accept the portrayal of me as someone bigoted, or criminally negligent of people’s safety. These are the kind of baseless, harmful claims that can create mistrust toward victims.

“It’s very distressing to know that this misinformation has upset people. I’m really thankful for everyone who’s stood by me and helped share the facts.”
The allegations against Hynes White have since been taken down.
