After eight seasons of Game of Thrones and nearly a full season of House of the Dragon, you'd think we'd be prepared for shockingly brutal, savage, and depraved scenes of life in Westeros. Think again.
If you haven't seen the latest episode of House of the Dragon then drop what you're doing and watch it now.
One thing is for certain, House of the Dragon doesn't hold back when it comes to shock, awe, or controversy.

But the show's ninth episode, titled 'The Green Council', truly blew audiences away with one scene.
We've already seen men's heads cleaved clear in two, watched dragons burn people alive, a King die, a few incest scenes, and much, much more.
But this...this is apparently where viewers have drawn the line.
The line that has been crossed is foot fetishism.

One viewer even said it was worse than the Red Wedding from Game of Thrones.
The scene in question sees Queen Alicent (Olivia Cooke) turn to her Master of Whisperers Larys Strong (Matthew Needham) for updates on the palace goings on in the wake of the King's death.

But, as is with everything in life, there is a cost.
In exchange for palace rumours and intel, Alicent slowly slips her stockings off to present her bare feet to Larys.
As she glances away, he reaches into his pants and has a tussle with his, er, one-eyed snake.
It took many viewers a few moments to comprehend what they were seeing, but, when it clicked, social media lit up with shock.

Now, we're not ones to kink shame - there's nothing wrong with fancying feet - but some people were put off by having to watch Larys' act.
One Twitter user seemed a bit shell shocked: "I don't know what exactly I expected this week in House Of The Dragon but it wasn't a foot fetish, that's for sure."

A second said: "I'm in shock that I had to watch a scene with a foot fetish. Please respect my privacy as I recover from this emotional trauma."
A third added: "Never would I have thought in all of the Game of Thrones universe that I would be seeing foot fetish content! Okay, Lord Larys.
One person pointed out that this is the price she clearly pays for him to do her bidding, stating: "I can't get over the number of people Larys murdered for Alicent's feet."
But, despite the disgusted reaction from fans online, it turns out Larys isn't so alone.
Recent research at the Kinsey Institute at Indiana University found that 14 per cent of participants in the sex study - including 18 per cent of heterosexual men - claimed they had sexual fantasies about feet.
So there, put a sock in it, you kink-shamers.
Or don't - it might send Larys over the edge.
