I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! is back and has returned to Australia for the first time since 2019.
Ant and Dec are back on hosting duties overseeing a new bunch of celebrity campmates who will be set to tuck into all manner of grim items, come face-to-face with creepy crawlies and shower in the great outdoors, all in the name of entertainment for the next couple of weeks.
This year’s line-up includes Boy George, former footballer Jill Scott, ex-rugby union player Mike Tindall, Corrie star Sue Cleaver, DJ Chris Moyles, and comedian Seann Walsh.
As well as that, we’ll have Love Island star Olivia Attwood, Hollyoaks star Owen Warner, Babatunde Aleshe, Charlene White, Scarlette Douglas and former Health Secretary Matt Hancock, who managed to get himself suspended after the news broke.
Follow our live coverage below...
And that’s all from the first night of I’m A Celeb - isn’t it good to have it back? We’ve met our new batch of celebrities - although we’re still waiting for Hancock - and we’ve had our first glimpse of the camp they’ll be living in for the next few weeks.
The show will be back tomorrow night when we’ll see our first Bushtucker Trial. Goodnight!
Viewers have been left very impressed by Mike Tindall’s reaction to having a huge spider crawling on his head.
The rugby legend took the creepy crawlies in his stride and didn’t even react when a massive one was clambering across his head.
One viewer said: “Mike Tindall casually getting on with the task in hand whilst a Giant spider runs about his bald head!”
Another wrote: “Mike Tindall just swam about, under a boat, with a massive f**k off spider on his nut and he didn’t even flinch.”
Someone else said: “Mike Tindall having a massive spider on his head and not even flinching whilst I’m sat here full of anxiety for him - crown him now.”
While former I’m A Celeb campmate Gillian McKeith reckons Mike Tindall will be this year’s winner after seeing his response.
McKeith wrote: “Not even bothered an itsy bitsy about the giant spider on his head...@miketindall13 . “Fear is a choice”, he says ... The winner!”
Although Ant and Dec teased his appearance on tonight's episode, saying they'll be 'rolling out the welcome mat [Matt]' for the new arrivals later in the show, it turns out fans will have to wait to see him enter the competition.
This is due to how the show is structured, as the two final contestants have always arrived around four episodes in.
If producers stick to this format, this means Hancock will arrive on 9 November - so there's not long to wait.
But for some viewers this is too long, with one writing on Twitter: "Can't believe the turd that is @MattHancock won't be on tonight."
Another said: "Are we gonna have to wait to watch the five other celebs arrive to camp tomorrow because this was not what I signed up for in tonight’s episode.
"I want to see Matt Hancock thrown from a helicopter NOW. #ImACeleb."
The celebrities have arrived in Australia and we’ve got our first look at the camp - looking about the neatest and tidiest we'll ever see it.
Most of the celebrities will be spending their night here, but VIPs Olivia Attwood, Chris Moyles, Scarlett Douglas and Boy George were left stranded on an island instead.
Olivia Attwood, Chris Moyles, Scarlett Douglas and Boy George were all given the title of VIP and treated to a sumptuous meal before heading into the jungle.
However, they probably should have known that everything has a bit of a twist when it comes to I’m A Celeb - and Ant and Dec explained that VIP actually means Very Isolated Person.
The foursome were dumped on an isolated island where they had to spend the night under the stars without even a hammock. Ouch.
Hollyoaks star Owen Warner is clearly not much of a fan of daytime TV.
Owen is one of the celebrities who has headed Down Under for this year’s I’m A Celeb - but he was at a loss to recognise one of his new campmates.
After meeting Scarlette Douglas he asked who she was, and was told by Boy George that she was ‘from A Place in the Sun’ to which he replied: “Where abouts?”
The Money Saving Expert himself Martin Lewis has said he ‘rolls his eyes’ when he hears celebrities saying: "I don't know what I'm doing here” ahead of appearing on the show.
Taking to Twitter, Martin said stars take part in the show for one of three reasons: money, to boost their profile or to rehabilitate their image. Well, that's them told.
Well that’s them told.
Ant and Dec have joked about the very badly kept 'secret' campmate set to enter the jungle in the coming days.
Former Health Secretary Matt Hancock hit headlines when he was revealed to be heading Down Under to take on some bush tucker trials.
Speaking on tonight’s show, the Geordie duo made a joke about how shocked people would be when the ‘secret’ campmate was revealed,
With Dec adding: “We’ll be rolling out the welcome Matt.”
I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! is back Down Under after being filmed in the slightly more chilly Gwrych Castle in Wales for the last two years.
Ahead of its return, ITV said: "Returning to its home in Australia after a two-year break, our celebrities will leave their plush pads and luxuries far behind as they spend up to three weeks taking on the Australian jungle with a whole host of surprises created for them."
One campmate has already caused a stir before the show even started, after it was announced Matt Hancock would be joining the camp.
Hancock’s addition to the line up did not go down well in Westminster - shortly after the news was announced he was suspended with immediate effect.
And a petition calling on ITV to remove him from I’m A Celeb has gained more than 40,000 signatures.
