Billionaire YouTuber MrBeast has honestly shared that type of people he avoids hiring in a recent interview.
We are used to seeing YouTuber MrBeast do grand giveaways on his reality show Beast Games, as well as in his philanthropist efforts, which have included helping cure 1,000 people of blindness with sight-correction surgery.
But in a podcast interview posted today, MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, spoke candidly about the type of people he would and would not hire as a billionaire.

In a Diary of a CEO episode with Dragon’s Den’s Steven Bartlett, Donaldson sat down to discuss more about the Beast Games and his mindset as a business owner.

So, if you’re on the lookout for a job with MrBeast, now is your time to lean in.
26 minutes into the podcast episode, the Youtuber shares things he looks out for in an employee. The qualities include someone who is 'coachable, sees the value, obviously obsessed'.

He delves in further and explains: “I just don’t like working with mediocre people. I mean I just really can’t stand it. It’s the fastest way to make me depressed is if I have to work with someone who is just not all in and just loves what they do.”
He also revealed that the single worst trait of an employee for him is 'mediocrity'.
Explaining further, the 26-year-old said: “Because they’re not bad enough that you fire them but not good. The problem is… great people just love working with great people...There’s something about being around great people that pulls some kind of animal out of you that makes you want to do more and push more and believe things are possible.
“When you put me around a bunch of successful entrepreneurs, I just turn into a different human than if you put me around people who are just running small businesses and don’t really care and don’t really have much ambition.”

Further clarifying why mediocrity is a major put off for him as a business owner, Donaldson added: “Everyone knows get rid of the C players, right obviously get rid of people who aren’t all in… It’s the ones that they’re not an A player, but they’re not a C player so it’s kind of hard because you still feed off the energy and if you get enough of them it just drags the overall culture down. So those are like the worst.”
Well, if you’re looking to impress MrBeast on a job interview, make sure you bring your A game - anything less is not set to impress.
