After famously reclusive actor Jack Nicholson was pictured for the first time in 18 months earlier this week, resurfaced footage shows The Shining star being very honest with a fan who asked if he was working on any new movies.
The Batman actor hasn't appeared in a movie since 2010's How Do You Know, where he starred alongside Reese Witherspoon.
This came after decades in the business, which included roles in One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, A Few Good Men and Something's Got To Give.

During his career, he scooped up three Academy Awards, two Best Actor nods for One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest and As Good As It Gets and one Best Supporting Actor statuette for Terms of Endearment.
This is the most Oscar wins for any actor.
Fans recently rushed to Nicholson's defence after he was pictured on the balcony of his Beverly Hills home, with some people making cruel comments about his appearance.

"He’s 85. Why not leave Jack Nicholson alone?" one fan asked.
"I looked like this when I woke up this morning… I’m 37," joked another.
Another fan said: "Jack Nicholson is still alive. He’s 85. I identify with this look. This look is my spirit animal."
This recent sighting came nearly two years after he was last seen at LA Lakers and Golden State Warriors game in October 2021.

Nicholson's public appearances are few and far between, and one of these rare occasions was when he stopped by to sign autographs for fans back in 2016.
As the then-78-year-old veteran actor made his way through a line of fans and signed their pictures, one person asked: "You working on any new movies, Jack?"
Without missing a beat, Nicholson replied: "No."

The Oscar-winner then wrapped up his signing session and headed back to his car without taking any further questions.
Nicholson had been tapped to star in an upcoming TV mini series called Napoleon, which still appears as an upcoming project on his IMDb page.
The series is based on the script for one of Stanley Kubrick's lost projects, which is being developed as a seven-part series for HBO.
Kubrick originally planned to film the historical epic after the success of 2001: A Space Odyssey, with Nicholson and David Hemmings attached to play Napoleon at various stages and Audrey Hepburn to appear as Josephine.

However, the film was abandoned due to spiralling costs.
The mini series already has Steven Spielberg on board, but it's unclear if Nicholson will star.
