Nail clippers are apparently very important to James May and he has his reasons why.
On the one hand - the former Top Gear host is best known for driving around in the fastest and most dangerous cars known to man.
But, on the other hand, he can't live without nail clippers and screwdrivers?
Oops, spoiler alert.

May isn't just enthusiastic about big metal things, but also small metal things.
Maybe a car boffin can explain that one to me, or maybe James will just tell us himself.
Speaking on an episode of DRIVETRIBE, the former Top Gear host revealed the 'five things that are essential to James May's life'.
Number one is something I can definitely relate to, and that's an iPad.

The 60-year-old thinks that 'the internet is the most important thing to happen to humanity' and it's definitely debatable.
Also, he likes using it on the loo.
Number two is a bottle of his own award-winning brand of alcohol, 'James Gin'.
"Ever since my mother gave me some as a baby, I’ve been fascinated by the taste of gin," James writes on his brand's official website.

However, number three is when it gets 'interesting'.
"Third is, not my bunch of keys, but on my bunch of keys a miniature set of nail clippers," he says.
"Now, some people are going to say immediately, 'oh you've got OCD, have you got OCD because you carry nail clippers around with you?'

"No, OCD is a genuine and serious condition. It's not a cheap insult to be levelled at people who happen to like doing things properly.
"I don't like having long or broken fingernails, but apart from, that you'd be surprised how useful these are.
"They can be used to trim stray bits of cotton off clothing, they can be used to cut cable ties in an emergency, they can even be used to cut your fingernails, it also comes with obviously the little nail file which can be used to clean the plugs and points of classic cars of a type that Richard Hammond drives around in.
"Nail clippers on your key ring, I've had that set on this keyring, I've got one on every keyring obviously this one, at least 15 years, they do eventually wear out but they're quite easy to replace."

Who knew that nail clippers could be useful for all sorts of things?
And, in case you're wondering, number four is a screwdriver, which is actually reversible, and five is a copy of his recent book, 'James May's carbolics'.
Because, it's important to have these items to hand.
