Jeremy Clarkson once made a pretty incredible mistake during hosting duties on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? with one person calling it the ‘funniest moment’ in the show’s history.
Clarkson took over the reins of the popular quiz show back in 2018, and he wasn’t long into his new role before he managed to make a fairly embarrassing blunder - check it out:
For those of you who don’t remember, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? launched all the way back in 1998 with Chris Tarrant at the helm. Tarrant kept up presenting duties right through until 2014 when the show left our screens.

Fast-forward to 2018 and it got a reboot, this time with Clarkson taking on the role of quizmaster.
During the episode in question, the newly installed host sat opposite a bloke named Alan Horsburgh from Kirkcaldy in Scotland.
After getting through several earlier rounds without a hitch, to bag himself £32,000 and the chance to continue, he was asked: “What type of wild animal is an ibex?” His choices were goat, pig, hare or deer.
While Alan was having a little think, Clarkson piped up: "I'm going to really annoy you now. I know the answer."

A little comment made all the more frustrating by the fact that Alan had used up his Ask the Host lifeline earlier in the show.
Stumped, Alan decided to use his Call A Friend lifeline and eventually opted for 'deer'.
As the answer was locked in, Clarkson said: "I'm not even going to look at the screen. That's the correct answer."

Except, no, it wasn’t.
The correct answer was actually ‘goat’ and that was very much news to Clarkson.
The shocked presenter exclaimed: "It isn't! What? It is a deer. Is it not a deer? I've seen them in Africa boinging along like deers! Oh no, you've just lost £15,000.

“Are you sure? I mean, I’ve seen ibex boing along and they look like deer to me.”
An unearthed clip of the blunder has recently been shared on TikTok where it was branded ‘one of the funniest moments on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?’ - not for poor old Alan, I bet.
Commenting on the clip one person said: “‘I'm not even going to look at the screen'. Well you could have avoided this embarrassing situation if you did!”
Another joked: “Jeremy is the goat.”

While a third added: “Oh my deary me. Love Jeremy so much the real goat.”
Someone else commented: “Quite embarrassing, can't do this on a quiz show.”
