Sony’s E3 State of Play dropped a huge amount of news for upcoming games set to come out on the PS5 and the upcoming PlayStation virtual reality headset PSVR 2.
Fans were treated to news of remasters and highly-anticipated sequels while also announcing an unprecedented amount of games for their PSVR 2, rumoured for release in early 2023.
Capcom came out in force with their Resident Evil series announcing the remake of the heavily rumoured Resident Evil 4 coming in March 2023 for the PS5, with a trailer full of breathtaking visuals, bringing the horror game to life - scary stuff.
Even more terrifying, and equally exciting is the announcement of their virtual reality game Resident Evil Village coming to PSVR 2, letting gamers be up close and personal with the horror.

Elsewhere, a serious amount of PlayStation favourites announced for virtual reality form for the PSVR 2.
The Walking Dead: Saint & Sinners story continues on PSVR 2 with Chapter 2: Retribution, a zombie virtual reality simulation to follow on from the highly acclaimed predecessor.
The trailer showcases the player cutting through masses of zombies with knives and guns while trying to survive - this one will definitely get the adrenaline pumping.
The cult series Horizon will also be making its virtual reality debut with Horizon: Call of Mountain - and wow, does this look amazing.
Guerilla Games stunned fans with the release of Horizon Zero Dawn and Horizon Forbidden West for their beautiful and unique world, and now players get to travel through that virtual world themselves.

Shooting arrows, climbing mountains, and navigating the beautiful landscapes will make this a showpiece game for the PSVR 2.
Away from headsets and back to gaming with control in hands, or keyboard and mouse, there’s a bit of exciting news for PC gamers.
Insomniac Games have collaborated with PC specialist Nixxes to bring Spider-Man Remastered to the platform in August.
The highly-acclaimed super-hero game will follow the likes of other fantastic PlayStation releases Death Stranding, God of War, and Horizon Zero Dawn, to make their way onto the PC.
Some sequel news as well from PlayStation with Capcom dropping a trailer for Street Fighter 6 while Final Fantasy XVI copped a spanking-new trailer and a confirmed release in 2023.

The cult Final Fantasy series teased a more action-oriented combat focus for the next edition, with the final frame of the trailer confirming the game for the middle of next year.
