Margot Robbie's body double in the new Barbie film left the star well and truly 'startled' when they bumped into each other.

The 26-year-old actor, Emma Eastwood, has finally revealed the news of her most recent big acting gig as

Robbie's body double in Greta Gerwig's upcoming comedy flick.

Noting the uncanny similarities between herself and the Hollywood A-lister, Eastwood claimed Robbie went as far as to mistake her for her own reflection.

Eastwood's life changed forever when her acting agency signed her up to be Robbie's body double back in July 2022 after being dropped as an extra from the movie.

Not a bad first job in the biz at all to stand in for the iconic Barbie role alongside the award-winning star.

During filming, Eastwood wore the exact same costumes as Robbie - meaning their bodies had to be exactly the same size.

Eastwood, who is currently living in Shepherd's Bush, London, said: "It was very stressful because me being her double relied on how well the costume fit me.

"I wore all the same costumes as Margot so I had to fit in them exactly."

Recalling the fitting process, Eastwood revealed: "It was interesting because we filled out the costumes differently.

"Where it was tight on me it was loose on her and where it was tight on her it was loose on me so this worried me as I thought I might get cut, but luckily I didn't and got to be Barbie's double."

Eastwood explained that she mostly featured in scenes where Barbie wasn't the focus of the shot, adding: "For example, where her dialogue had already been filmed and so it was the just the back of my head or me stepping into shoes and walking up and down stairs.

"All of the things that they didn't need Margot's face for."

The young actor admitted that while she only got to meet the star a couple of times - she definitely had quite an impact on Robbie given that she left her absolutely 'startled' one day on set.

While shooting at the Warner Bros. Studio in London, Eastwood said on one occasion when she bumped into the star, Robbie thought she was looking directly into a mirror.

Remembering that incredible moment, she gushed: "The first time I met her she was lovely and I almost cried."

While Eastwood only chatted to Robbie 'for about five minutes', it was clearly an extremely memorable moment for both of them.

"When I did speak to her, I was coming on to set and there was a heavy door that I was struggling to open," she recalled. "When I got through, it swung open and Margot Robbie was coming off set on the other side."

She continued: "We ran into each other and we were so startled.

"She said to me 'Oh I've never ran into myself before' and I literally had to grab onto a wall. I was so shocked to see her."

Eastwood added: "I hadn't prepared myself for this.

"She said she felt like she was looking in a mirror, which was crazy."

And it's not just Robbie who was blind-sighted by the uncanny resemblance as Eastwood's own friends refer to her as 'Barbie' or 'Margot' as well as prospective male suitors as 'their way of flirting'.

"I tend to not bring it up myself [about me being Barbie's body double] but if people bring it up, I definitely speak about it," she admitted.

Remembering the 'once in a lifetime' experience, Eastwood added: "I appreciate how big of an icon Barbie is and am extremely excited to be a part of it.

"I sometimes forget I actually played Barbie - it's crazy."

Eastwood has since taken to Twitter to share a series of photos from filming, captioning the post: "Can publicly say now that I worked as Margot Robbie’s body double on Barbie.

"Had the best experience of my life and will absolutely never shut up about it."
