Oasis fans are shocked after comparing the prices of 1996 concert tickets with the band’s upcoming UK reunion tour.
On a recent Reddit thread, Britpop fans are sharing nostalgic 90s tickets for the likes of Pearl Jam, Blur, and Oasis, to demonstrate how much prices have climbed since then.
One fan shared a photo of their old Oasis tickets, which only cost £12.50 and £17.50 back in the band’s heyday.

A fellow fan estimated the average price of a concert ticket in 2025 and replied, “With inflation, this would be £34.50 now.”
To further demonstrate how much more affordable tickets used to be back in the nineties, a third fan ran through ticket prices for famous gigs he has attended in the past: “I was going through a shoe box of old stuff I'd saved and pulled these from around when Oasis hit the big time. A lot of the artists you can still see today for about ten times the price.
March 96 - Oasis, Cardiff Arena, £12.50. March 96 - Glen Tillbrook, Duchess, Leeds, £7.50. April 96 - Oasis, Maine Road, Manchester, £17.50. October 96 - Pearl Jam, Wembley Arena, £16.50.”
The debate comes off the back of national uproar over Oasis UK reunion tour ticket prices. When the general sale kicked off, Ticketmaster’s dynamic pricing saw ticket prices shoot up to a whopping £350, according to the BBC. To make matters worse for fans, some tickets were swiftly listed on resale sites for thousands of pounds.

Under UK consumer protection law, dynamic pricing is legal, but some musicians, such as Neil Young, have taken back control of ticket prices due to huge backlash from fans.
