After a new Harry Potter TV series was announced, fans of the franchise have been deeply divided over the thought of the characters we know and love being played by other actors - as have the original cast.
Though most of the stars of the films are excited about the upcoming HBO show - including the likes of Tom Felton and Daniel Radcliffe there’s one actor who has claimed the new series will be ‘terrible’.
The new Harry Potter show will set out to adapt the original book series spanning over a decade, meaning the original cast may find it tricky to fit in to the new Wizarding world.

Although showrunners have promised that the films will still be at the ‘core of the franchise’, HBO executives have said the series will have a ‘new cast to lead a new generation of fandom’.
While some members of the original franchise have expressed their joy over the project - with some even saying they’d be excited to join a potential remake in different roles - one former cast mate was deeply unimpressed.
Having played Nymphadora Tonks for four films, actor Natalia Tena let the press know how concerned she was about the films being remade and even joked that possible producers deserved to die if they replaced the original cast.

In a tongue-in-cheek comment to Digital Spy, she said: "If they do, they deserve to die! No, no, it's terrible!"
We guess she’s going to become well-versed in Avada Kedavra after HBO’s latest announcement!
Several of the original cast have previously stated that they'd happily portray different characters if they were to appear again in the franchise.
This includes lead actor Daniel Radcliffe, who despite playing the 'boy who lived' for over a decade, has previously said that a remake was ‘inevitable’.

Having accepted that he would eventually be replaced he teased which characters he’d be willing to play in a possible reboot.
“I would probably want to go with Sirius or Lupin,” he joked on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, adding: “Those were always the two characters that I was like, ‘They’re great.'”
He’s not the only one keen to take on the mantle of mentor, with Tom Felton wanting to play his on-screen father, Lucius Malfoy – originally played by award-winning actor Jason Issacs.

Despite casting yet to be announced, the 35-year-old joked that the part was already his.
Speaking about a potential reboot in 2012, he previously told Digital Spy: "I'm already signed up! Lucius Malfoy will be my part.
However, the actor had expected the series to be announced just a decade later, telling the outlet: "I'm sure these films will last a very long time. I can't see audiences boring of them anytime soon."
