Osman told Metro: “I thought there was no way she would want to be part of this or anyone famous would want to be part of this. I was proven wrong!”
In an interview with Digital Spy, Joe Locke, speaking of the fans, admitted: "It's been great. It's been overwhelming in a good way.

"They're all so supportive. It cushions out the overwhelmingness of it, just how lovely everyone is."
Kit Connor added: "Yeah. It's been so, so supportive, and overly positive.
"And I think that's one of the great things. By the nature of it being a graphic novel series, we had that amazing fanbase kind of translate over to us. They've all got such a passion about these characters."
Connor also revealed that there was some pressure involved by playing such beloved characters.
He said: "That's definitely something that we all thought about when we first went into it. These characters are so important to a lot of people.
"But I think one of the first things that the whole Heartstopper team kind of preached to us when we first got our roles was just to have fun with it, and try to do our own thing with it."
