Netflix is releasing absolute bangers this year and The Gentlemen is no exception.
But there has been a little bump in the road for viewers who have been following the series since its release on 7 March.
The story is a spin-off of Guy Ritchie’s 2019 film of the same name, which was an action comedy surrounding the dirty dealings of London’s gangsters.

In this Netflix show, Eddie unexpectedly inherits a gigantic estate and the title of Duke of Halstead from his father, but soon learns that the land has become part of a weed-growing empire run by a notorious criminal.
The story details how Eddie attempts to navigate the criminal underworld while trying to keep his loved ones safe.
All in all, it’s an amazing watch.

However, fans just can’t get behind the scenes containing Freddy…and I mean, who can blame them?
From having to pause the show because of Freddy’s idiocy to wanting to strangle him through the screen, a lot of fans just couldn’t come to terms with how the character could mess up so much.
Played by Daniel Ings, Freddy is the cocaine-addicted older brother of main character, Eddie (Theo James) who just seems to have no common sense.

His stupidity begins right at the beginning of episode one, where Eddie finds out that Freddie owes £8 million to a dodgy drug dealer and attempts to sell his late father’s estate to pay off the debt - only to find out that there is more going on through the land than he’d been let in on.
So, in a bid to clear his brother’s name, he sells a collection of expensive wines and tries to renegotiate the terms of his criminal deal…that is until an emotionally unstable Freddy decides to add murder to his list of wrongdoings.
With viewers across the country watching with anticipation for what happens next, there are those who couldn’t help but call out the older brother’s character for his endless stupidity.

“I'm watching the gentlemen and i want to kill freddy.”
“Just one episode in The Gentlemen and I want to strangle Freddy myself. WTF!!!”
Another person added: “Freddy absolutely proving why his father did what he did.”
It’s not looking great for Freddy when it comes to building a die-hard fanbase, but let’s hope that by the end of the season he has a great redemption arc.
