After we all spent the first chunk of this year absolutely obsessing over Fool Me Once, there’s been a new (and pretty incredible) Harlan Coben announcement.
The series with Michelle Keegan and Joanna Lumley was hugely popular, racking up a mega 61 million views around the world in its first two weeks and landing a spot in Netflix’s All Time Top Ten list.
And pretty much since finishing Fool Me Once, fans have been eager for more to watch from the thriller writer.
Luckily for them, it was soon confirmed that Netflix were producing another two English-language series with Coben with filming for Missing You spotted in Manchester.

Even more exciting though is the latest cast announcement for the upcoming show, featuring some major names.
It was already previously confirmed that Coben series veteran Richard Armitage would appear in the new show, alongside the likes of Rosalind Eleazar, Jessica Plummer, Steve Pemberton, Lisa Faulkner and Mary Malone.
Samantha Spiro from Sex Education and Game of Thrones will also feature as well as the one and only, Sir Lenny Henry.

Missing You follows Detective Kat Donovan after her fiancé Josh, ‘the love of her life’, disappeared eleven years ago. But when she’s swiping through a dating app, she suddenly spots his face and ‘her world explodes all over again’.
“Josh's reappearance will force her to dive back into the mystery surrounding her father’s murder and uncover long-buried secrets from her past,” the synopsis reads.
And confirmed today (5 June), the role of Josh will be played by Top Boy legend, Ashley Walters.

Also announced is James Nesbitt in the role of ‘Calligan’ and like Armitage, he’s no stranger to a Coben series either, having appeared in 2021’s Stay Close.
Rounding off today’s big cast announcement is Busted member and Love is Blind: UK presenter, Matt Jay-Willis.
Executive Producers for Quay Street Productions, Nicola Shindler and Richard Fee said: “We're delighted to have Victoria Asare-Archer adapting Harlan's brilliant book for Netflix. Missing You is a thrilling ride with a huge heart and we have a wonderful cast to bring it to life.”

And Victoria Asare-Archer added: “Kat Donovan was a thrill to write - she’s such a brilliantly messy, complicated woman. I'm really excited that we have a hugely talented ensemble cast on board - it's a dream! I can't wait to see them dive into Harlan’s world.”
Unfortunately, it’s not yet confirmed when we can expect to sit and binge Missing You, but there’s a whole load of Coben series available to watch on Netflix in the meantime.
