After a long wait, fans of Stephen Graham will tomorrow be able to watch the actor’s newest Netflix show.
That is not, to say, that fans of Stephen Graham have had to wait long in general, as the actor’s prolific recent schedule means that his previous show, A Thousand Blows, came out just under a month ago.
His newest Netflix show, however, is hotly anticipated as it sees the actor once again team up with his Boiling Point director, Philip Barantini.

The series follows Boiling Point, however, with the totally unique twist of every episode being shot entirely in one hour long take.
The series is called Adolescence and follows Graham as a father whose son is accused of murdering his classmate.
Graham is joined in the show by Top Boy alumnus Ashley Walters, Erin Doherty, and Owen Cooper.

Early reviews for the show have been incredibly positive, with Adolescence sitting at a perfect 100% on Rotten Tomatoes at the moment.
All four episodes were shot in one go with Graham describing the process as like shooting ‘a play’.
According to those that have seen it, however, this is not just a gimmick, but a ‘vital’ part of the show according to the Metro.

Taylor Gates of Collider said in their 9/10 review of the show: “Adolescence isn’t just an entertaining series (though it is, in some warped way); it’s one of the most important series I've seen in a long time.”
Alan Sepinwall of Rolling Stone said in their positive review of the show: “This is not an easy watch.
“But in what Adolescence has to say, and in how eloquently and audaciously it says it, it’s also among the very best things -- and an early contender for the best thing -- you will see on the small screen this year.”
When discussing the idea behind the series, Stephen Graham touched on a very serious topical issue, saying: “There’s an epidemic of knife crime amongst young, young lads… up and down the country.

“I play a man called Eddie, who’s just a normal father.

“He’s a hard-working man. He’s got his own business. He’s a grafter, and he’s raising his family doing the best that he can.
“Then suddenly his whole world is rocked by something that his son is accused of.”

Graham said of the show’s unique filming style: “Without sounding pretentious, it’s the marriage of both mediums.
“Technically, it’s a play, and we’re playing to the camera. We spent a whole week [for each episode] rehearsing as actors with Phil, and we went through every beat, through every moment, piece by piece by piece by piece.
“We dissected the script, which is beautifully written by Jack Thorne. And you just immerse yourself in that character.”
Adolescence releases on Netflix tomorrow, March 13.
