Piers Morgan has issued an apology to Ed Sheeran after a tweet posted from his hacked account branded the singer a 'ginger pr*ck'.
The British public are all too familiar with Morgan's not-so-infrequent controversial claims and outbursts, and after the stink he caused about vegan sausage rolls, who's to say he wouldn't go after Ed Sheeran, too?
Well, that's exactly what he appeared to do towards the end of last month, and it didn't stop with the pop star.

A series of posts shared from Morgan's Twitter account included abusive messages about Queen Elizabeth II, racial slurs and misinformation - comments which seemed extreme, even for the former Good Morning Britain presenter.
Before long, it was declared that Morgan had been hacked, and much of the content on his account, including his profile picture, banner image and posts, were wiped.
The presenter didn't address the hack at the time, but after seemingly regaining control of his Twitter page he acknowledged the hurtful content that came from his account.

He apologised for the posts in a tweet shared today (9 January), which began: "By the way, apologies for all the abusive nonsense posted on my feed after I was hacked (yes, yes, do your own jokes) on Boxing Day."
Morgan then addressed Sheeran in particular, assuring that he didn't believe what the hacker had said about him.
"In particular to @edsheeran who I think is a very gifted singer-songwriter with a fine head of hair, not a ‘ginger pr*ck’," Morgan wrote.
The apology came after Morgan returned to Twitter this year to share his thoughts on the arrival of Prince Harry's new book, Spare, which reveals a number of details about the Duke of Sussex's personal life, wild adventures and relationships.

Morgan accused Harry of 'exploiting the Royals’ most personal secrets for gazillions' with the book, and questioned today why he shouldn't be able to return to Good Morning Britain after being, as he described, 'forced out of [his] job [...] for disbelieving Harry & Meghan’s unsubstantiated racism claims against the Royal Family'.
"Now he’s finally admitted there was no racism, two questions: a) Do I get my old job back? b) Why should we believe a word they say?," Morgan wrote.
Harry has told ITV that he and wife Meghan Markle weren't accusing the royal family of racism when they told Oprah Winfrey a member of the family had raised concerns about the colour of their baby's skin.

When asked if he would not consider that 'essentially racist', Harry responded: "I wouldn't, not having lived within that family.”
