Romesh Ranganathan has revealed that Katherine Ryan had a 'no touch' rule on their new series.
Romantic Getaway kicked off this week and sees the two comics star as married couple Deacon and Allison, who are going through IVF.
They defraud their boss out of £50,000 in order to pay for the next round of treatment. But when they accidentally drop an extra '0' on the balance, they spark a series of unfortunate events as they try desperately to avoid going to prison.

The synopsis says: "The couple are sat in their car, buzzing with adrenaline.
"But after the buzz wears off, they must not only contend with the gruelling process of IVF, but also have to figure out how to use the money without getting found out, a challenge that draws them deep into the criminal underworld of Reading."
During filming, Romesh said that his co-star told him in no uncertain terms that their characters should never touch one another.

Discussing the series on Good Morning Britain, the comedian said: "Katherine said that she thinks we’re far along enough in our marriage in the show that we wouldn’t touch each other that much.
"She just said: 'I just think you can show affection in different ways'. She made it very clear, it was a dealbreaker."
Presenter Susanna Reid then asked: "But also didn’t she say that because you’re friends and because you’re so well-known no one actually wants to see you kissing?"
Romesh replied: "Well, it was a dumbing it down of our acting abilities really."

He explained that Katherine felt that viewers might not actually buy the fact that they were together if they started being overly affectionate with one another, because they're comedians by trade.
Speaking about the series herself, Katherine said she found it difficult moving from comedy into more dramatic scenes.
She told the Radio Times: "I hated it. I don't like drama. I feel like I'm very uncomfortable around it.

"I have crafted a life where no one takes me seriously ever, so to try to convey what is truly the worst moment in someone's life – it’s a huge challenge to try to convey that accurately and respectfully.
"I tried my best, but it does not come naturally to me. If someone's telling me a sad story, I find it very uncomfortable.
"This is why I have so few friends and I'm only friends with comedians, because we’ll slag each other off while the other one’s crying – it's fine with us. But I mean, whoa, it was a challenge."
