After a long few months without the hit BBC One reality gameshow, fans can now rest easy as a second series for The Traitors has been confirmed.
None other than host Claudia Winkleman announced the exciting news this morning (27 February). Check it out:
The Traitors first hit our screens back in late November and has since skyrocketed to popularity as audiences couldn't wait to tune into the tense psychological adventure competition.

Last year's season saw 22 complete strangers all moving into a grand old castle in the Scottish Highlands in order to complete a series of challenges and missions together as a team.
The incredibly juicy catch, however, is that among the loyal contestants - who all desperately hope to win a cash prize of up to £120,000 - are sneaky traitors hell-bent on causing chaos in the group.
A cloaked-up Winkleman confirmed the news of the second outing to Twitter.
"Hi, it's Claud here," the host began.

"I've got a small question for you and, yes you're right, the cloak might be giving it away."
"Here's the thing," she went on, before asking a handful of questions to viewers.
"Can you spot a liar? Could you betray those around you? How would you fare at the round table?" she asked.

"What I'm asking is: would you like to play?"
Then, for the news we've all been waiting for since December, she confirmed: "Series two is happening."
Winkleman then offered fans a chance to get involved in the gameshow themselves, concluding: "I'll see you at the castle."
Meanwhile, Kalpna Patel-Knight, Head of Entertainment at the BBC, said: “Last year’s ambitious and bingeable hit The Traitors with Claudia Winkleman is coming back with the brilliant team at Studio Lambert set to bring viewers another magnificent series full of drama and suspense.

"We can certainly expect even more deceit and psychological games for the Traitors and Faithfuls.”
