Filming for the fourth and final season of The Umbrella Academy is officially underway.
The news might be bittersweet for fans as they now know the end is on the horizon for the celebrated Netflix series.
Showrunner Steve Blackman posted a photo on Instagram showing a classic Hollywood clapperboard.

"Here. We. GO!!! One last time," he wrote on social media.
He also responded to a fan who was shocked at the idea the final season will only have six episodes in it.
Blackman said: "It’s true. But you’re going to love them."
Netflix revealed in August last year that the upcoming instalment would sadly be the last time we'd get to see fresh episodes on the gang.
The first season of the series dropped on the streaming service back in 2019 and all three instalments have proven to be critical and commercial successes.

Stars Elliot Page, Tom Hopper, David Castañeda, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Robert Sheehan, Aidan Gallagher, Justin H. Min, Ritu Arya and Colm Feore will reprise their roles for the fourth season of the superhero series
Blackman said: "I'm so excited that the incredibly loyal fans of The Umbrella Academy will be able to experience the fitting end to the Hargreeves siblings' journey we began five years ago.
"But before we get to that conclusion, we've got an amazing story ahead for season four, one that will have fans on the edge of their seats until the final minutes."
For those who have watched the first three seasons, Steve gave everyone an insight into what we could expect from the big finale.

Speaking to Netflix's Tudum, Blackman said: "This new timeline has been dictated by Hargreeves, who reprogrammed the Universe at the end of the season three finale.
"But because of Allison's actions, he didn't get to finish what he started before Allison pressed the reset button.
"So, the siblings losing their powers isn’t going to be the only oddity in this timeline. There are new enemies who want to see them wiped out of existence, but how do they manage without their powers? Is there even a way to get them back?
"The stakes have never been greater."

How exciting.
It's unclear when the fourth and final season of The Umbrella Academy will be released on Netflix, but the fact that they've started filming is a very good start.
