Ant and Dec have once again found themselves the focus of I’m A Celeb drama, as the pair continue to make headlines almost as much as the actual contestants of the show.
The presenting duo were hit with a number of Ofcom complaints over jokes they made aimed at I’m A Celeb campmate Reverend Richard Coles.
Coles is a latecomer to the camp along with Maura Higgins, but has quickly become well liked due to his affable nature.

Many gained even more respect for Coles last night, as he emotionally discussed with Strictly star Oti Mabuse her experience of birthing a premature child.
He then went on to discuss the death of his late husband, David Oldham, who died in 2019 of alcoholic liver disease.
Coles heartbreakingly told Oti ‘I miss him’, as he discussed dreams he had of his deceased partner.

This was not what led to Ant and Dec’s complaints, however, with the pair facing heat over what some would consider some fairly straightforward jokes.
During an eating trial alongside Maura Higgins soon after they entered the jungle, Ant McPartlin joked ‘more tea Vicar?’.

Back in the studio, Dec described the trial as unholy, with Ant adding the comment that it was ‘bum-holey’.

Before you ask, no, the complaints were not referring to the duo having sh*t patter.
The pair, during last night’s episode, opened with a mock sermon, with Dec starting by saying: “It's the start of a new day now and the first to wake up was Reverend Richard…”
Dec then interrupted, with music playing, as he said in a mocking voice: “And though the night before there had been darkness and a plague of insects had been visited upon him. But he had receiveth a small bounty that did taste of cheese. And now, praise be, he did rise again."

He went on to joke: “So basically you are saying Richard had a fright, got some crisps, then had a sleep and got out of bed”.
Ant finished off the, again, rather sh*t joke, by saying: “Yes my child”, in a priest-like voice.
The pair managed to p*ss off one group in particular - Christians.

Many felt the jokes were poking fun at Richard’s profession as a Vicar, with over 70 Ofcom complaints about their mocking of the Bible and his faith.
Currently, it remains unclear whether ITV will take any action as a result of this.
