I’m A Celeb viewers have been loving the addition of Maura Higgins and Reverend Richard Coles to the show in their first episode this evening.
The pair are the show’s annual latecomers, however, this year they were met with an unexpected twist, with fans already calling the pair an ‘iconic duo’.
The combination of a Church of England Reverend and a swearing Irish Love Islander is one that has hit home with fans.
Where the twist comes in, however, is their conditions.

Coles and Higgins entered camp to discover they would be staying in a separate area called the ‘Junkyard’, which at first glance appeared to be an even more barebones version of the main camp.
They then discovered however it had several secret contraptions, revealing a bath, pull-out bed, and several luxury items.
The pair were informed that, in very much Traitors-style, they were going to have to deceive the other members of the camp in order to gain extras such as food.

One example of this was a task they undertook involving main camp's Melvin Odoom, where he was covered in offal.
The pair had to pretend they were undergoing the same, when in actual fact they were the ones pouring it over him.
This is a mission that Maura seemed more suited to, with her admitting ‘I’m a great liar’.
Richard then added ‘I’m gonna learn fast’, a fact that had fans laughing.
