A survivor of Jeffrey Dahmer’s horrific crimes has revealed that the infamous serial killer used him as a ‘guinea pig’.
Billy Capshaw served in the U.S. military alongside Dahmer, with whom he shared a room after his deployment in West Germany in 1980.

Capshaw revealed that he ‘liked’ Dahmer at first, before the serial killer showed his true colours.
This occurred before Dahmer’s rampage began in full, with him having since admitted to only one murder prior to meeting Capshaw, that supposedly took place the year before.
The soon-to-be-serial killer terrorised Capshaw, raping and beating him repeatedly.
The man’s horrific ordeal is the focus of a documentary set to air tonight on Channel 5, Surviving A Serial Killer.

The TV show focuses on different people who survived face-to-face meetings with serial killers, with tonight’s episode focused on Capshaw dealing with perhaps the most well-known of all time.
Dahmer’s survivor described how one night he went crazy, chasing Capshaw through the woods and attacking him.
He eventually barricaded himself in his bathroom, waiting for Dahmer to fall asleep. The next night however, drunk, Dahmer attacked and raped him.
This led his victim to jump out a third floor window, fracturing his pelvis in the process.
Capshaw was found by officers where he reported the sexual assault and was asked to use a rape kit at the military hospital.

Nothing happened from this, however, and he was sent back to being Dahmer’s roommate.
Capshaw was then frequently raped by Dahmer, describing how he would beat him with a metal pipe and sedate him for days on end.
Speaking to The Sun, Capshaw said: “I was absolutely his guinea pig for him to do what he liked with. I couldn’t over-power him but I would scream.
“I told my sergeant. He lived just across the hall from me and he didn’t do nothing.

“Everyone needs to understand how the military works. There are some things you just don’t say. Rape is one of them, back in 1980.
“No one did a thing. I found out from a nurse later on that they just discarded the rape kits.”
The survivor considered killing Dahmer at one point, but couldn’t bring himself to do it, stating he carried ‘so much guilt’ for not going through with it.
He said: “A lot of people died and even after he left I found out where he was living and I was thinking I’d go there and kill him but again I couldn’t.”

Dahmer went on to kill 17 young men and boys between 1978 and 1991.
The serial killer was known for his tendency to rape and cannibalise his victims, with many fearing that he killed even more than the 17 he has admitted to.
Dahmer died in 1994 when at the age of 34 he was beaten to death in prison.
I Escape a Murderer airs tonight, April 8, on Channel 5.
