The BBC look like they’ve done it once again, with yet another incredible thriller coming to our TVs this weekend.
The show will star Joe Cole, a man who is quickly becoming one of the most recognisable faces on British TV.
This follows up his roles in Peaky Blinders, Gangs of London, Skins, Black Mirror, and the list goes on and on.

Whilst only being 35-years-old, it feels like Cole has not only been around for ages, but has been a star in the making for years now.
Check out the trailer here ahead of the show’s premiere:
The show is called Nightsleeper, and features Cole as an off-duty police officer, stuck on a train hacked by cyber-terrorists.

The synopsis of the show reads: “Set on a train from Glasgow to London, a government agency intervenes in escalating events onboard. Two strangers work together to save passengers as the train hurtles towards disaster.”
The Guardian, in their preview piece of the show, said: “Like Speed meets 24, with a dash of Bodyguard and Hijack, it’s a non-stop service from Tension Central to Plot Twist Parkway.”
Written by Nick Leather, The Guardian spoke to him about the inspiration for the show, and he said: “I loved 24, so always wanted to do something in real time.

“I also fancied doing a locked-room mystery, so I wondered if you could combine them.
“Lock the room, then resolve it in real time. And what if the room was moving?”
He went on to add: “I wanted something quintessentially British. What do we talk about more than anything else? Trains and weather.
“For a six-hour journey, the sleeper train fitted the bill perfectly. It’s like playing with a giant train set.”

Digital Spy reviewed the show, giving it four stars.
They said: “London's railways are already a pretty stressful environment. The chaos of late and cancelled trains coupled with the overwhelming busyness is enough to spike anyone's anxiety.
“Now throw in a 'hackjacking' situation and you have the perfect setting for a stress-induced action-thriller.

“The upcoming BBC drama Nightsleeper is one such thriller that transforms the overnight train service – the Heart of Britain – into a "guided missile" when hackers take control.
“Nightsleeper is an absorbing watch that continues to build the tension with twist after twist in a 'whodunnit' fashion to keep the mystery chugging on throughout.”
Nightsleeper will premiere on BBC iPlayer 9pm tonight, Sunday September 15.
