Locals have been left confused after spotting Hollywood actor Shia LaBeouf filming on Wales' Barry Island in South Wales.
Residents in the seaside town are no strangers to seeing filming crews knocking about on their shores thanks to the BBC series Gavin and Stacey being filmed there, however it was Shia LaBeouf who happened to be walking the streets of Barry over the weekend.
Locals were no doubt surprised to see the Even Stevens actor in South Wales, with many stopping to take a photograph with him.

Now, I know what you're thinking, is LaBeouf about to appear as a guest star in the Gavin and Stacey finale episode?
As far as we're aware, the actor will not be appearing in the upcoming Christmas special, as he was in town to shoot his latest movie Salvable on the island.
Salvable tells the story of an ex-boxer in his 40's, who has the chance to revive his career by taking part in a series of underground fights.

Don't hold your breath on any of the Gavin and Stacey cast making a surprise cameo appearance in the gritty film either, with La Beouf being joined by Toby Kebbell, Michael Socha and Aiysha Hart.
Filming took LaBeouf and his co-stars to a tattoo studio, with shop owner Bianca Oliveira revealing how bizarre it was to see the actor in her studio.
"Shia LeBeouf was sitting on my couch in my studio where my clients sit – it was madness," she told Wales News Service.

"My brain is still processing the whole thing. Shia was extremely busy filming, but he was very nice – they were all absolutely lovely."
Alongside filming in the tattoo shop, the cast and crew could also be spotted tucking into some food from fish and chip shop Fryer Tuck.
However, if you're interested in seeing Barry on the big screen you might have a little while longer to wait, as a release date for Salvable is yet to be revealed.
In the meantime, Barry residents will have to get used to film crews setting up residence on their island, as Gavin and Stacey will soon be heading into production on its final ever episode.

News of the finale was confirmed by creators James Cordon and Ruth Jones earlier this month, after Cordon shared an image of the pair holding up the script in a post on his Instagram account.
The episode will be airing this Christmas on BBC One, meaning that fans have something to look forward to when the days get colder and darker later in the year.
