Man responds to 'theatrical' claims after his viral reaction to girlfriend in bed with another man in 'greatest scene in history'

The man behind the biggest TV moment of 2025 - and possibly ever - has responded to claims that his reaction was 'theatrical'.

Incase you missed it, Spanish series La Isla de las Tentaciones (Temptation Island), a show which couples' test their relationships by being tempted into being unfaithful, is currently going viral worldwide due to contestant José Carlos Montoya's reaction to watching his girlfriend cheat on him via a livestream.

Forced to watch his partner Anita Williams do the dirty with another man, Montoya decides he simply can't take it any more, screams out in pain and runs the length of a beach in order to confront her. A moment which you don't need to speak Spanish in order to understand what's going on.

"Montoya, Por Favor!" three words which have just changed the world of reality television forever.

The video has since been viewed millions of times across the internet, leaving viewers with just two questions: 'How can I watch Temptation Island?' and "What will Montoya do next?'

Unfortunately the series isn't available outside of Spain, which means that us global viewers are deprived of full access to the drama.

Thankfully key clips have begun to circulate online, including Montoya kicking over an iPad after seeing Anita kiss another bloke and her reaction to him receiving a very raunchy lap dance.

The social media star has also defended his reactions, with an explosive confrontation between himself and fellow La Isla de las Tentaciones contestant surfacing online.

In a moment orchestrated by the show's host Sandra Barneda, contestant Kiko Jiménez told Montoya that he doubted his authenticity and accused him of playing up for the cameras during his many viral moments.

"I've seen your journey, I've seen you've been in other places, on other shows, and I've seen a lot of Montoyas," Jiménez said, as translated from Spanish.

"I don't know which Montoya is here anymore."

The comments did not sit well with Montoya, who naturally responded with a fierce rebuttal, a manner we've all come to expect from the reality star.

"Montoya goes where he shines, that's what bothers you," he responded.

"I've earned things because I've been in love with my partner from minute one."

As for the current status of Montoya and Anita's relationship, that remains to be seen. The time we see the couple is when a remorseful Anita runs after him towards the end of one of the clips, however, he appears to be heavily hinting at his apparent heartbreak online.

"Anyone else out here suffering from love and trying to come back," read the translated caption on his most recent Instagram post, suggesting that Montoya is still feeling the sting of the viral moment.

As for what happens next, we'll just have to hope more clips make it online.
