January is here, which means it’s cold and we’re all skint. Don’t worry though, Disney+ is on hand to give you all the entertainment you need so you don’t even have to leave the house. The Disney+ streaming service has been available for a while now and while it features all the titles you’d expect from Disney+, there’s a lot of stuff on there that might just surprise you!
Of course, there’s family animation such as Toy Story, Moana and Disney’s Encanto, but there’s also so much more. You can stream 16 seasons of long-running drama Grey's Anatomy, the new original docuseries The Beatles: Get Back and even horror The Walking Dead.
There really is something for every mood and every age!
What’s so good about Disney+ is that there’s a real mix of content, for all ages and all moods. You can sit down to revisit a classic film you’ve not seen in years or settle in for a brand new original series or blockbuster movie. Marvel Studios’ Hawkeye is available exclusively on Disney+, as well as Star Wars: The Book Of Boba Fett – another original series and a must watch if you loved The Mandalorian.
You can even stream Oscar winning films such as Jojo Rabbit, The Shape of Water and 2021’s Best Picture winner, Nomadland.
If you’ve seen The Shape of Water, you’ll have grasped that Disney+ isn’t just for kids. And they’ve really widened the net (pun intended) when it comes to stories they’re willing to tell.
One of the standout series exclusively available on the streaming platform is Dopesick, a drama led by Michael Keaton that delves into the role big pharma played in creating the ongoing opioid crisis in the US.
In fact, there's such a wide range of content that you’ll never struggle to find something to put on, no matter what mood you’re in.
Some of the titles planned for the streaming service include the latest blockbuster The King’s Man, streaming February 9, and a new original docuseries focusing on the world’s favourite “famous for nothing family”, The Kardashians, streaming later this year, and the much-anticipated original series about Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee’s iconic ‘90s scandal and the birth of the first ever viral video, streaming February 2.
So whether you’re looking for a feel-good family movie to watch on a lazy Sunday morning, you’re in the mood for a midweek classic, or it’s Friday night and you’re after some 18+ drama - Disney+ has got you covered.
