Mondelēz International, the parent company of Cadbury, has attributed the rising costs of its products to increased prices for ingredients like cocoa and dairy, along with elevated energy and transport expenses.

A spokesperson told LADbible: “We’re aware of the financial pressures consumers are continuing to face, and raising prices is always a last resort for us. But as a food manufacturer, we’re still seeing substantially higher input costs across our supply chain—especially for key ingredients like cocoa and dairy.
“Other costs, including energy and logistics, also remain elevated. That means our products are much more costly to produce, and while we’ve absorbed some of those increases where possible, significant challenges remain.
“As a result, we’ve had to implement some carefully considered list price adjustments to our Cadbury Creme Eggs so we can keep delivering the brands people love, without compromising on the taste and quality they expect.”
