Look, I think it’s fair to say there’s things most of us don’t understand about the opposite sex.
Or even just about our partner. We’ve all got our own things and our own preferences, but it turns out ‘millions of women’ are into a bedroom kink that most men don’t even know about.
Thanks to people being very honest about their sexual desires and preferences on TikTok, we can all learn a thing or two (and perhaps even pick up) about the huge world of kinks.

And one of those that have emerged on social media is something people might enjoy without even knowing it has a proper name.
So for those who don’t, it’s the ‘praise kink’.
As explained by sex professor Dr Nicole K McNichols: "People who have praise kinks get turned on by their partner complimenting them during sex.

"Praise kink exists on a continuum of course, because, I mean, who doesn't love being told that they're beautiful or hot or amazing in some way?"
Since doing the rounds online, many people are speaking about their fetish for affirmations, including data columnist Jana Hocking.
For the Daily Mail, she admitted that 'it's horrendously self-centred, slightly narcissistic, and probably a bit shameless to admit to'.
However, she's 'very much on board with it', adding: "It has had a whopping 60 million views on TikTok so clearly I'm not the only one lapping it up."

Hocking continued: "The kink involves people who get off on hearing how wonderful they are (especially in the bedroom).
"So if you are like me and you go a bit wild when your fella calls you a 'good girl' while getting it on between the sheets... welcome, you are part of the 'praise kink' tribe.
"Other popular praises that people in this tribe like to hear include: 'You're doing such a great job', 'Your boobs look amazing from this angle', 'You're so good at that' and 'Baby, you feel amazing.' Okay, full disclosure... that's what I get off on, but others do too."

As said, the praise kink category continues to grow on TikTok, with hundreds of people giving their take on the niche.
One woman shared a screen-record of a multi-player game in which she received praise from her virtual partner, who repeatedly told her 'nice job' and 'that's amazing' as she took out their opponents.
Alongside the footage, she wrote: "This guy was feeding my praise kink all game without even knowing it."
Another TikToker said: "So I've been seeing that it's been trending on TikTok that... a lot of girls are realising that they have a praise kink. Just to let you know, if you have a praise kink, you probably have words of affirmation in your top two love languages."
