Passengers travelling with Carnival Cruise Line have called on the company to make a drastic rule change that would ban people from boat hot tubs.
Run by the world's largest cruise line parent company Carnival Corporation & plc, the Carnival subsidiary is used by millions every single year to travel around the planet on the open seas, raking in billions of dollars every single year from its journeys, excursions, and services.
But one service provided by Carnival continues to divide those who travel with the cruise line. And to be fair to Carnival, it is one that impacts passengers across many cruise lines.

The difference, right now, is that Carnival passengers want action on top of an already strict policy regarding its hot tubs.
Carnival passengers and its existing hot tub ban
It is all to do with children. Despite being kids themselves once, adults are fed up with them when it comes to cruise ship hot tubs.

On Carnival, there are already strict rules in place when it comes to its hot tubs.
This concerns its hot tub and spas in the Serenity Adult-Only Retreats you can find on all its cruise ships.
As the name suggests, it ain't for little ones.
"Hot tub spas in the Serenity Adult-Only Retreat™ are for guests 21 years of age and older," the policy states.

"Select hot tub spas in other locations on board are for guests 18 years of age and older."
Carnival passengers want a wider ban
Over on YouTube, a video from the Life Well Cruised channel saw its comment section come alive with hot tub chatter after discussing the hot tubs rules in general when it comes to banning eating in them (who does that, honestly?).

It got people thinking about the issue of hot tubs in more general sense, with one saying: "I totally agree with no kids in the hot tubs.
"The last cruise I was on there were kids aged eight to 12 constantly in the hot tub and the parents didn't care.
"So many adult passengers wanted to use the hot tub. I got fed up and just got into the hot tub... the kids did not like the Old Lady in the hot tub and so they all got out, yay!"
A second passenger wrote: "It's not just wrong to let your kids to stay in a hot tub to play around, even though it's meant for relaxation, it's also a health hazard."

Carnival rules on children and hot tubs
As it stands, there are Carnival rules on hot tubs and children but they fall short of a permanent ban.
Rules state that 'parents are responsible for their children' and are asked to 'take children on frequent bathroom breaks' to stop incidents no one wants to encounter.
On top of this, no children in diapers, nappies, or who are not toilet-trained can enter.
There is also a ban on 'running, horseplay, jumping or diving', with children under six recommended to avoid them full stop.
LADbible has approached Carnival about its hot tub rules concerning children but received no response.
