A popular British influencer has split opinion online after announcing he's swapping London for Dubai.
Oli White boasts over 2.5 million subscribers on YouTube, thanks to years of posting light-hearted funny content on his profile.
But the 30-year-old wasn't joking when he posted a viral video recently explaining that he's making the permanent move to Dubai.

Apart from not being able to WhatsApp or FaceTime your family from the United Arab Emirates, Oli will be able to enjoy the sunny weather and tax-free living that you simply cannot get in the UK.
However, it wasn't the weather that inspired him to make the move, rather the 'safety' of Dubai and the lack of inspiration he has found in London ever since the pandemic.

In the video, he says: "When I first moved here, it was so exciting, there were so many opportunities and it was just an amazing place to be.

"After the thing that happened when we couldn't leave our houses, things just changed. London has never been the same, the UK has never been the same.
"It's unsafe, you can't even walk down the road holding your phone without fear for having someone stealing it.
"I''ve just felt so uninspired from a work perspective, but also just living my life. I've just felt like I've been living in four walls. I haven't pushed myself and I haven't grown as a person."
The irony of feeling uninspired by the culture in London and then moving to somewhere as soulless as Dubai is clearly lost on Oli, but he seems determined to make a new life for himself in the 'influencer capital of the world.
He added: "I have now officially moved to Dubai. That's right, we are living permanently in Dubai now. It's sunny all year round here which is something I've been desperately missing in the UK.

"It's one of the safest cities in the world. You can leave a watch or a handbag on the side in a restaurant and no one will even look at it.
"There is zero tax - that's right, you pay zero tax here. The opportunities are absolutely endless. I'm so excited to be here, I can't wait to get going!"
As we said, his announcement has divided people online.
One user said: "'One of the safest cities in the world?' Isn't it still illegal to be gay? sounds safe for a straight white guy... sucks for others."

Another said: Yeeeeah sorry Oli, I love you mate but it's a hard pass from me," while another said, "if you felt unsafe you could just moved to the countryside."
Others were slightly more supportive and wished him 'all the best with the move.'
At least that's one less influencer we have to worry about in the UK.
