Having your face smashed into a cream cake and breaking your ankle probably aren't the birthday plans most of us would have in mind, but that's what happened to this mum after a few too many drinks. Take a look at the hilarious moment below:
Of course, quite a few people like a good old drink for their special day. Some dabble in brunch cocktails, others prefer a pint in the sun and some just seek out to get absolutely smashed.

At least, that was the case for this mum who ended up face planting her own birthday cake.
Not only did she receive a cake facial, Aly Jones also broke her ankle following the incident which resulted in the surprise party turning into a trip to A&E.
Now, it all started when daughter Honi Jones had put together a belated surprise party to celebrate her mum 50th birthday bash.

As Aly stood admiring the beautiful Bailey's birthday cake, perfectly iced and decorated, her prankster brother, Danny, smashed her face into the buttercream as a practical joke.
With the whole party crowd roaring with laughter, Aly took a couple seconds to emerge from the - now very smashed - cake, looking extremely baffled.
Honi recounted the lead-up to the event, saying: "Mum was sort of stood beside the cake and looking at it. The candles were then taken out and I believe she went back over to cut it [and] that’s when the cake smash happened.
"Mum's brother, my uncle, was stood behind her and was like 'I'm going to face smash her into the cake'.

"My mum's a bit crazy so we knew she'd find it hilarious. She'd lost her balance so kind of stayed in the cake for a while, then emerged back up," Honi went on to reveal.
"Mum's a bit of a joker. She's always the life of the party, she's fab. I love her."
Following the cake face plant, Aly then jumped on a someone's back and consequently fell and, unbelievably, broke her ankle.
"After the cake, one of my cousin's partners gave somebody else a piggy back. My mum wanted a go. She got on his back and ended up falling. He tripped then as she fell and he stepped on her foot," she explained.

Upon the fall, Honi and her father became worried - confusing the chocolate icing in her hair for blood.
"It was the most eventful family party ever," she added.
Aly has since admitted she had 'never, ever' been that drunk before and that the belated surprise party was 'a birthday I'll never forget'.

Aly said: "I'm always up for a laugh. I only remember up to a certain point and waking up the next day realising I'd broken my foot.
"I assumed my brother had put my face in the cake and while I was there, I decided to carry on.
"After that, I fell, banged my head and knocked myself unconscious for two minutes.
"It was a birthday I'll never forget. It was a very good night though.
"I've only seen the video twice because it's quite embarrassing. I've never, ever in my whole life been that drunk before.
Her brother Danny commented: "Aly would have done it to me. Definitely. I knew she'd take it well."
"When we get together, it's always a bit fun," he concluded.
Since being posted online, the cake-plant video has amassed over 362,000 views, 50,600 likes and 746 comments, with people dubbing the birthday celebration as the 'most eventful party ever'.
