Eddie Izzard has revealed a new feminine name - but said people can choose which they'd like to use.
The comedian asked to be referred to as 'she' and 'her' in 2020, and was subsequently praised by fans and LGBTQ+ groups.
While sitting as a model on Portrait Artist of the Year, she said: "This is the first programme I've asked if I can be she and her, a little transition period.

"People just assume, well, know me from before... I'm gender fluid. I just want to be based in girl mode from now on."
And in keeping with this continued 'girl mode', Izzard has now shared a feminine name which she's added into the mix.
According to Politico, the 61-year-old said on the Political Party Podcast at Covent Garden last night (Monday 6 March): "I prefer to see she/her, I don't mind he/him… I'm Eddie.

"There's another name I'm going to add in as well, which is Suzy, which I wanted to be since I was 10.
"I'm going to be Suzy Eddie Izzard, that's how I'm going to roll, so people can choose what they want. They can't make a mistake, they can't go wrong."
Elsewhere in the interview, she said that everyone is somewhere on the spectrum and 'we have just got to chill out about' genders and pronouns.
Discussing the subject in an interview with HuffPost UK published in 2021, Izzard said: "I spent 50 years predominantly in boy mode, so let's try the next 50 in girl mode."

"It's just a language adjustment," she added. "And no one should get het up about it."
She continued: "I'm still gender fluid and I tell everyone that's supported me, 'Relax people, he or she, it doesn't really matter.'
"The pronoun thing isn't the important thing, the important thing was coming out [as trans] back in 1985, that was the tough time."

Izzard was hailed a 'trailblazer' on social media after Portrait Artist of the Year aired on Sky Arts back in 2020.
One person said: "Just discovered Eddie Izzard now uses she/her pronouns. Love you, Eddie. Thanks for being a trailblazer."
Another added: "Good for Eddie Izzard asking for the pronouns she/her to be used so publicly."
A third wrote: "I love Eddie Izzard and hope she gets everything she wants in this life."

While comedian Shaparak Khorsandi added: "I can't tell you what she means to me as a comic.
"Rocked my comedy world when I was a teen and beyond. Changed everything, made room. I love her and this morning I'm very happy for her."
