A steamy pile of hot chicken nuggets from McDonald's is always a good decision.
But one Australian woman got more than she bargained for as her six pack of McNuggets containing an extra-special garnish: an engagement ring.
Comedian Aaron Chen shared the news on social media that he got engaged over the weekend and he did it in style.

If that wasn't enough, the now-engaged duo appeared to get their rings from Australia's favourite place to buy and sell second hand goods: Cash Converters.
Chen's now-fiancé Esther Shim showed off her new bling while standing outside a Cashies store. Iconic.
While we love something old and unused getting a new lease on life, we do hope Chen sanitised that ring before popping it atop of the bed of delicious nuggs.

Just, you know, for cleanliness' sake.
The comedian shared the happy snaps to his social media, taking his chance to share a caption typically-touted by the one accepting the proposal.
"Congratulations to me I am engaged," Chen posted alongside the collection of adorable photos.
His followers quickly jumped on the bandwagon and congratulated him for taking the plunge with his partner.

Aussie icon and fellow comedian Jan Fran commented: "Aaron! You’re going to make a beautiful bride."
Crazy Rich Asians actor and fellow Aussie Remy Hii kept it simple with: "Holy s**t."
DJ legends Peking Duk sent several emojis with love-heart eyes adding: "Congrats, stunnas!"
Aussie comedian Mel Buttle also summed it up nicely, with a simple 'yaaaasssss!!!'

So we'll add our voice to the mix: Congrats to the happy couple!
Chen is best known for his stellar work on Kitty Flanagan's ABC comedy series Fisk.
The stand-up comic won Best Newcomer at the 2017 Melbourne International Comedy Festival for his debut show The Infinite Faces of Chenny Baby, and has copped another nom at the 2022 Melbourne festival for Most Outstanding Show.

He's currently touring with his stand-up show If Weren’t Filmed, Nobody Would Believe across the country.
He's bringing the show to Sydney shortly - so if you go along you may get a few bonus tidbits on this Aussie-as proposal.
As for Shim and Chen's impending nuptials, there is no word on what the plans are.
But we're imagining a massive McNugget cake and a guest list sure to leave you in stitches.
We can only assume the best man's speech will be sure to knock your socks off, considering the hilarious company this dynamic duo keeps.
But until then - congratulations to Esther Shim and Aaron Chen for the most 'Straya proposal of all time.
