A video of a man asking for a woman to move on a busy train has gone viral, with many praising the TikToker for his calm response to the awkward altercation.
In the short clip, the man - known as @mr_boris_becker on TikTok - politely requests for the woman to move from the seat he had paid for.
See the situation unfold here:
The confrontation began when the man boarded the crowded train and spotted the woman sat in his seat that he had purchased ahead of time.

As the TikToker asks for his seat, she laughs and gestures to other empty seats in the train. Despite not being in the right seat, she hesitates and tries to avoid moving further down.
Even with the woman’s stubbornness, the man refuses to budge.
“It’s gonna be difficult. My place is 103 and I need my place. I’m so sorry,” he pointedly states, at which point the stranger begins to move from the seat.

While this should have been the end of the incident, the surrounding passengers immediately become involved with their reactions also caught on camera.
In fact, one even tells the man that he ‘is not the law’, as she struggles to understand why he won’t just allow her the woman to sit in his seat.
Thankfully, the woman defuses the situation as she rapidly moves with her suitcase and tells him: “I’ll give you, your place."
Though she walks off miserably, the man’s calm response has been praised by users on TikTok after the video went viral and was viewed over 7.9 million times.

Many have sided with the man, asking why the woman and fellow train passengers reacted so badly to the man asking for the seat he bought.
“No way they were getting upset at you for asking the place that you bought,” wrote one annoyed user in the comments.
Others quickly followed, with another adding: “The audacity of her asking him to find another seat while she’s sitting in the seat that he paid for.”

Some have also criticised the other passengers for adding to the stressful situation, with one person writing: “The other woman should’ve minded her own business."
Maybe next time they will think before they sit down.
