A man sailing across the Pacific Ocean on his own has revealed why he's doing it.
Luke, who goes by the name of 'sailing songbird' on TikTok, quit his life as a school music teacher to set sail on a solo venture.
He's out there right now in a 27-foot sail boat, posting content for his followers on social media.

This week, he's set viewers' anxiety flying after revealing exactly where he is on Google Maps.
“I’m stuck here in the doldrums,” he explained in a viral clip, adding: “There is no wind.”
Luke then shared a screen recording of his location on Maps, where he was ‘about as far away from land as you can be on this planet’.

As he described it as ‘disorienting’ to paddle-board with ‘absolutely nothing on the horizon’ at ‘over 1,000 miles away from any piece of land’, viewers were losing their minds.
It's making us feel anxious just reading about it.
With so many people left horrified over Luke's venture, it does make you wonder - why does he do it?

Well, he has revealed all, explaining why he decided to set sail in the first place.
Back in March, Luke explained: "Last year I was a middle school music teacher and had the dream of sailing around the world.
"So, I quit my job and sold what little I had, bought this Vancouver 27 and spent seven months in the yard fixing it up.
"Last October, I pushed off from Seattle and sailed all the way down to Mexico."
Social media users have been quick to comment on Luke's trip, with one writing: “My thalassophobia could neverrrr.”

Thalassophobia is literally the fear of the ocean or other large bodies of water.
Meanwhile, another said: “Nothing is creepier than an open body of water. I can’t.”
Others were amazed over Luke's phone signal.
“Man’s uploading from the Pacific Ocean, and I’m losing network in my bathroom,” one wrote.

As another joked: “Damn the pacific got Wi-Fi?”
Turns out, Luke has a dish on his boat so he can pick up the phone signal, which is certainly very handy.
He also revealed what it's like to sleep on the boat - and it sounds like a pretty huge challenge.
In one clip, he can be seen being thrown around in his 'bed' as the boat moves from side to side.
Certainly not one for those who suffer with sea sickness.
