Adopted 'child' orphan who turned out to be 22-year-old moved on to live with new family

The adopted 'child' orphan who turned out to be a 22-year-old woman has seemingly moved on to live with a brand-new family.

Kristine and Michael Barnett adopted who they thought was a Ukrainian child with a bone disorder, Natalia Grace, but have later claimed that she was an 'adult sociopath masquerading as a child' in a bizarre criminal case of fraud.

The parents were subsequently charged with neglect after taking off to Canada and leaving Natalia to fend for herself but she has since been welcomed into a new family home once again.

A brand-new trailer for the upcoming documentary series, The Curious Case of Natalia Grace, is set to hit our screens later this month on 29 May.

The three-part series will follow the likes of Michael and his wife, Kristine, who first adopted Natalia back in 2010 under the impression they were welcoming a six-year-old child into their home.

However, according to the pair, this couldn't have been further from the case.

After growing suspicious over their adopted child's true identity following claims that Natalia grew violent and terrorised the family, the Barnetts made the decision to set sail for Canada in 2013 but were subsequently landed with some pretty serious neglect charges for allegedly abandoning a child.

Since then, Natalia has managed to bag herself a new home and brand-new family - a Christian couple hailing from Indiana and their five kids.

Natalia now lives with Antwon and Cynthia Mans along with their other children.

According to an investigation conducted by DailyMail.com, Natalia's new adopted father is Antwon Mans.

Antwon, who was recently ordained as a pastor, is joined by his wife Cynthia to now raise Natalia.

While the couple are aware of the hotbed of allegations made against their Ukrainian adopted daughter, they don't seem too fazed by them one bit.

The parents have posted an array of pictures of Natalia to social media in which they are clearly treating her like a child as opposed to the fully-grown woman the Barnett family claim she really is.

A friend of the Mans told the outlet she deemed the family to be 'Good Samaritans'.

They said: "The Mans care for Natalia and she likes being there. There's nothing crazy going on or anything. These are good people.

"They just so happened to come across this person that was not being treated right and cared enough to put in the effort to make sure something was done about it. If it's true that her parents had abandoned her, it's horrible."

The family doctor went on to share their verdict on what they thought Natalia's true age was.

They revealed: "I'm not a doctor or a psychiatrist but I've spoken with Natalia and I believe her. If you're asking me if I think she is 30, that's ridiculous."

The Mans first attempted to become Natalia's legal guardians back in 2016.

The friend explained: "They've already tried to speak to Natalia's adopted parents and tried to go through the courts. They are just not getting anywhere and now this is escalating.

"She is just in a really awkward position and they are trying to help her out. There's actually very limited things they can do for her because people are saying she's 30. She can't even go to high school."
