Legendary boxer Mike Tyson has addressed rumours that he had Parkinson's disease prior to his bout with Jake Paul.
The YouTuber and influencer emerged victorious in the ring against the 58-year-old former world champion back in November 2024.
Though that's not to say the build-up wasn't controversial, with Tyson suffering a health scare during a flight just months before stepping into the ring.

However, 'Iron Mike' rallied and the fight took place a few months later than planned, to allow him time to recover.
He was back to himself in the build-up to the bout though, even slapping his opponent in the pre-fight presser.
The fact that Tyson lasted all eight rounds is commendable enough, but the scrutiny around his well-being and whether it was safe for the fight to go ahead, was questioned.

He revealed following the fight that he didn't remember much of it, though he added that he had 'no regrets'.
Now, months later, Paul suggested during a conversation with American streamer Adin Ross that Tyson has been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, before being 'cured' by smoking toad.
The main symptoms of Parkinson's are the involuntary shaking of body parts, slow movement, and stiff muscles.
Paul claimed: "Ayahuasca is really good for your brain as well. And same with toad! Toad cured Tyson's Parkinson's so that he could come back and fight," clarifying that you smoke it.

Now, Tyson's spokesperson has stated in a response to TMZ: "Mike is happy and perfectly healthy. He doesn’t have Parkinson’s or any other illness."
The backlash from Paul's comments on social media was so heavy, in fact, that the influencer himself had to take to X to clarify what he said.
"Bruh…Mike Tyson didn’t have no Parkinsons..WTF. Why the f**k is the internet so stupid for. I misspoke. Meant he used toad to heal his pain. He has spoken about it many times. Just like I do. Just like many do," he wrote to followers.

Tyson revealed after their bout that he didn't remember much of the night, admitting: “I don’t remember it. But my body was really sore (after the fight). My chest, my stomach was really sore.
"The day after I woke up and said to my wife, ‘why did I do that?’ I just don’t know what the hell was going on."

Tyson also claimed that he feared that he would be sued if he pulled out due to health complications, telling Fox Nation: "I was worried about getting sued, you know.

"I was like, 'God, they're going to sue me if I don't do this fight'. I had a bloody ulcer, like three inches. Kept bleeding and bleeding.
"And I had to have, what, 10 blood transfusions? Each time I do this, I was like the same doing Roy Jones as doing this one.
"My wife sees me screaming because my body is in so much pain. And I come home, I'm like, 'Ah, ah!' I promised I wouldn't do this to myself."
