And TikToker Sarah Shoots (@sarahshooots) did just that, going into schools like a modern-day Robin Hood but with way less stealing.
The content creator shared a video of herself performing the selfless deed to TikTok, phoning a school and asking to pay off any lunch debts with a cheque. The school confirms their unpaid lunch debt totals over $1,000.
Yep, over $1,000 which will no doubt make the world of difference to the youngsters.
A follow-up video sees Sarah dropping by the school to hand in the cheque.

After paying off the staggering amount, she says: "We did it. Who's next? Let's go."
As you can imagine, people poured in with support for the good deed, with one person saying: "$1,000 is overdue lunches means god knows how many kiddos aren’t permitted to eat a lunch daily."
Another said that kids at their school couldn't get lunches due to an account debt: "This same thing happened to me when I called to confront the lunch lady about denying my daughter lunch due to a $.60 balance. I paid for everyone."

While another said they wished the woman would come to their school: "Oh man I would love for this to happen for my school. We have over $3,000 in school charges."
Others shared their own stories of helping kids get lunch at school: "I worked a summer school program one year and our rule was: if a kid asks for food or says they're hungry, you give them food. No questions.
"Of course, we hid the garbage food like pop tarts out of sight and also put stuff in certain kids' backpacks come Friday. I was absolutely devastated when I heard some kids were going all weekend on only what we gave them."

While another shared their own story of an absolute angel lunch lady: "I remember the lunch lady giving me extra pizza when I was hungry. I also remember being in high school and was denied food and I didn’t have food at home so kids at school caught on and offered me some of their food.
"I pray the system gets better so no kid goes hungry."
And, it goes without saying that way more school lunches should be free.
