Leeds Festival has issued an update after weather chaos has battered the site of the popular music event.
Ah, British summer and a bank holiday? Of course the weather has decided to lose its sh*t.
Following an 'urgent weather report' on X earlier this morning (23 August) warning people to delay their arrival to the site, organisers shared that some performances will not be taking place as planned.

Festival goers have been sharing mad videos already as tents can be seen blowing around the camping area as people joke the promo for film Twisters is on a new level.
The latest 'weather update' from Leeds festival, shared at 9:30am, reads: "We can see an end in sight to the high winds. We definitely won't be opening the arena at 11am, but we are targeting as soon as possible after that and we will update you further.

"However, we have definitely lost the BBC Radio 1 stage today, and there will be no performances on it. We have also lost the Aux stage today, and there will be no performances on it.
"We remain hopeful that everything else will continue as planned and that we will still have an amazing weekend. Please await further information."

Many fans are understandably pretty gutted as one said: "Will the acts be moved to any other available stages?? everyone i was wanting to see were across both of those."
It's pretty unclear at the moment whether the performances that were due to take place on the BBC Radio 1 and Aux will be rescheduled to other stages or to other days but it's safe to say those stages will not be operating today.

As the wind causes chaos across the festival site, users wrote on X that 'tents and fences are down everywhere' as many warned others to 'stay safe' as the festival warned those still outside to stay in their cars.
The Met Office currently has a yellow weather warning in place for areas of Northern England until 11.00am.
It explained: "Whilst there remains some uncertainty about the details, some very strong winds are likely to develop, with gusts widely in the 50 to 60mph range, with a lower chance that a small core of winds gusting 65-75 mph, perhaps 80 mph, could push quickly east during the morning."
