17-year-old who has been missing for six weeks randomly shows up on someone's live stream

A man who says he's Troy Coleman's brother claimed the missing teen is the person seen in Twitch star FaZe Lacy's livestream

You can see all sorts of things on live streams, but it's not often that a missing teenager who vanished nearly seven weeks ago randomly shows up on one.

But that's exactly what the family of Troy Coleman think has happened.

According to his relatives who have been frantically searching for him, the 17-year-old, from Mt. Morris Township in the US state of Michigan, has not been seen since 21 May.

Due to the lack of leads in the investigation into his disappearance, Troy was reportedly thought to be dead.

But extraordinarily, he was supposedly spotted on a livestream which was hosted by popular Twitch streamer FaZe Lacy.

The content creator was broadcasting what he was getting up to in Miami with his pal Clix to his hundreds of thousands of followers on the online platform, when a shirtless young man in bright green shorts was seen walking up the street.

The lad stops and chats to the streamers while they dine al fresco at a restaurant, sharing a few jokes before chatting to people on another table.

Eventually, the conversation comes to an end and the shirtless teen heads on his way.

Lacy didn't really think anymore of the incident, until he checked his emails and found someone claiming he was the brother of the man who had featured in their Twitch stream had been in contact with him.

The man, who explained he was Troy's sibling named Trent, informed the streamer that it was his missing family member.

The email read: "Hello, my name is Trent Coleman and my missing little brother from Michigan was on Clix and Lacy's stream in Miami.

"He was wearing green shorts and they were making fun of him, he is not on drugs he is schizophrenic and he is 17 years old. If someone can contact me about this I would be so thankful, he has been missing for three months and his case was put on homicide in Michigan."

Lacy later shared a still image of what is thought to be Troy from the footage, alongside a screenshot of the message he received from Trent, on X.

He wrote: "Yesterday on stream he came up to me and Clix and now his family knows he is alive and in Miami. I wasn’t sure if I should make this public but I'm hoping somehow this helps him be found for his family."

Asked to clarify what he thought the contents of the email suggested, Lacy told a social media user: "I could be wrong but I’m pretty sure it means they thought he was dead but now his family knows he’s alive. Power of the internet is wild."

Troy's father Weston Coleman previously issued a public appeal for help finding his son, who was last seen near the intersection of Pasadena Avenu and Lavelle Road in Mt. Morris Township, Townsquare Media reported.

He suspected that his son may have boarded a bus and had then left the area.

Weston said Troy is unarmed and does not pose a danger to the public, but explained the teenager suffers from mental health issues and experiences hallucinations which requires medication - that he does not have with him.

The 17-year-old was last seen wearing a black hoodie with grey sweatpants and white slide-on shoes.

Troy is about 6' 4" tall, weighs 165 to 180 pounds, and has blue eyes and brown hair.
